What Is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention in the present moment and helps us develop more peace of mind. Too often we spend our time thinking about the past or planning for the future, missing out on what is happening right now. At Being Mindful we believe that becoming more aware of the current moment can enrich our lives and increase our happiness.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction or MBSR for short is a renowned 8 week programme developed by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Centre for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School. It involves eight evening classes plus one Saturday workshop.

The program gives participants a thorough grounding in mindfulness practice and the skills to be able to integrate mindfulness into everyday life.
