Walking Meditation

Ten minute Guided Walking Meditation.  It’s helpful to use this audio for the first few times that you try this practice.

This is the slow walking practice that you might have seen images of Buddhist Nuns or Monks doing.  It’s not a brisk walk in the countryside (although that’s great also!).  This is where you choose a short path to walk on, it could be as little as 10 or 12 steps, and you slowly walk while being aware of the sensations in your feet during each step.

It can take a while to get into the practice, but it’s a lovely way to slow down and settle into the moment.  It has similar benefits to regular meditation and makes a nice alternative to sitting.
